"The Downtown BID recently established its web site as a tool to help market
downtown Glen Cove and to keep its members and the public at large informed of news updates
that affect them. The design and technical assistance of The Next Page allows us to link to
every other agency and organization in our community, fostering collaborative efforts. The
back end maintenance system is a dream and an economic savings in terms of time and dollars."

Project Summary
The Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) is a private
nonprofit organization that works to revitalize, rebuild and maintain
business growth and development in the downtown commercial district by
integrating operations, marketing and retail real estate development.
In examining the future path of the BID community (some 287 members strong)
the Board of Directors determined that an Internet presence would be an
essential component to facilitate collaboration and streamline operations.
The Next Page was selected to create the site as a result of its
outstanding work on the InterAgency Council of Glen Cove (IAC) website
and The Next Page’s commitment to using technology to promote collaboration
for community development. With numerous events requiring volunteer
assistance from the membership a key specification was for a user
maintainable events calendar and other user maintainable elements.
The Next Page created a site with critical elements driven by their
secure, web-based content management system scaled for this application.
All content for the site is managed through a secure back office gateway
by BID administrators. This includes Press release, calendar of events
and announcements. The architecture is scaleable and flexible to facilitate
implementation of future enhancements.
